Electric Car Charging

The Village of Radium Hot Springs offers a Level 2 electric vehicle charging station located in the parking lot at the Radium Hot Springs Centre at 4863 Stanley Street. The solar panel on the roof of the Centre supplies power to the charging station, with extra power feeding back into building.

BC Hydro owns the Level 3 charging station, which is located on Stanley Street next to the Radium Hot Springs Centre parking lot.

A third charging station is located at the Crescent Motel Radium at 5008 Highway 93.

The stations are part of the broader Accelerate Kootenays initiative to create an electric vehicle (EV) charging station network across the East Kootenay, resulting in over 1,800 kilometres of convenient and reliable connected EV travel.

Electric Vehicle Share – Spark!

The “Spark: Columbia Valley Electric Vehicle Share program” aims to be the first fully 100% electric vehicle share program in rural Canada and serve as an integral step towards transitioning Columbia Valley communities to low-carbon transportation use.

Residents enrolled in the Spark program will have access to an electric vehicle for short or long periods of time.
