Mayor and Councillors

The Village Council consists of a Mayor and four Councillors who are elected for a four year term.

With the exception of summer months, Council meetings are held the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:30 pm and are open to the public. The meetings are held in the Council Chambers, located at the Village Office (4836 Radium Blvd.). The public can address Council at these meetings if arrangements are made ahead of time. If you wish to address Council, please contact Mark Read at the Village Office or by email mark [dot] read [at] radiumhotsprings [dot] ca.

Mayor & Councillors (2014-2018 term)

Mayor Clara Reinhardt

After spending 30 years living and working in 2 Territories and 3 Provinces, my husband and I moved to Radium Hot springs in 2005 upon his retirement. There hasn’t been a day where we have not felt at home or reconsidered this decision. We love living in paradise! After 2 terms as a councillor I am very pleased to have been given the opportunity to be your Mayor.

Through the stewardship of previous councils, we are in an enviable position of having great water, cutting edge sewage treatment and a plan to improve roads and underground services. We are pleased to be moving forward with a new Community Hall which will be followed by Park improvements.

I look forward to hearing from you at clara [dot] reinhardt [at] radiumhotsprings [dot] ca

Councillor Dale Shudra

Like many of you, my wife and I were Albertans hoping to eventually move to the warm side of the Rockies.  The dream became reality when our vacation property became our full-time home in 2011.  Since then we, and our visiting children and grandchildren, have enjoyed this beautiful area.

I believe citizens have an obligation to contribute to their communities.  I have been an active Rotarian (three-term president) and championed Radium Rotary Gardens, where I am still a Garden Committee member.  I have also been active politically at both the federal and provincial level.  I look forward to now serving at the councillor level and keeping the village a great place to visit and live.

Councillor Todd Logan

When my wife and I got married, we chose to buy our first (and so far only!) house in Radium Hot Springs. We have lived here since 1993 and have raised two great kids in this Village. I joined the Radium Volunteer Fire Department in 1993, and continue to be an active member. In May 2016, I also trained and received my 1st Responder license.

I first ran for council in 2011. This will be my third term. I currently sit on the Rotary Community Garden Committee and am an active garden member. I look forward to my term on council, and the ongoing committment I bring to being a councillor who believes in "boots on the ground", ready to help where I can.

Councillor Tyler McCauley

My family and I moved to Radium Hot Springs in 2011 after searching for small business which we could stay at home and raise our 2 boys. We settled on this amazing community. I decided to join council to do my best to help show the rest of the world what a lovely area we live in and do my best to assist with decisions that are made in our small town.

Councillor Mike Gray

Having visited the Columbia Valley since childhood, I made a permanent relocation here both to follow a business opportunity and to be closer to my nieces and nephews. My partner and I moved here together and spend a healthy amount of time exploring the wonderful outdoors in Radium's back yard.

My favourite times in Radium have been around community events and social gatherings.  I try to stay active in our community as a business owner, Chamber of Commerce board member, volunteer, and now as a member of council.  I am constantly inspired by how much people love this village, and enjoy meeting residents and visitors with ideas about how to make our community even better.
