Mayor and Councillors

The Village Council consists of a Mayor and four Councillors who are elected for a four year term.

In 2017, there was a by-election to fill the vacancy which resulted when Councillor Larsen moved to Nanaimo. On January 14th, Mike Gray was elected as councillor for the remaining 2014-2018 term.

With the exception of summer months, Council meetings are held the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:30 pm and are open to the public. The meetings are held in the Council Chambers, located at the Village Office (4836 Radium Blvd.). The public can address Council at these meetings if arrangements are made ahead of time. If you wish to address Council, please contact Mark Read at the Village Office or by email mark [dot] read [at] radiumhotsprings [dot] ca.

Mayor & Councillors (2014-2018 term)

Mayor Clara Reinhardt

After spending 30 years living and working in 2 Territories and 3 Provinces, my husband and I moved to Radium Hot springs in 2005 upon his retirement. There hasn’t been a day where we have not felt at home or reconsidered this decision. We love living in paradise! After 2 terms as a councillor I am very pleased to have been given the opportunity to be your Mayor.

Through the stewardship of previous councils, we are in an enviable position of having great water, cutting edge sewage treatment and a plan to improve roads and underground services. We are pleased to be moving forward with a new Community Hall which will be followed by Park improvements.

I look forward to hearing from you at clara [dot] reinhardt [at] radiumhotsprings [dot] ca

Councillor Todd Logan

When my wife and I got married, we chose to buy our first (and so far only!) house in Radium Hot Springs. We have lived here since 1993 and have raised two great kids in this Village. I joined the Radium Volunteer Fire Department in 1993, and continue to be an active member. In May 2016, I trained and received my 1st Responder certification.

I first ran for council in 2011. This will be my second term (2014-2018). I  currently sit on the Rotary Community Garden Committee and the fire department committee. I look forward to my 2nd term on council, and the committment I will bring to serve the residents of this Village.

Councillor Tyler McCauley

My family and I moved to Radium Hot Springs in 2011 after searching for small business which we could stay at home and raise our 2 boys. We settled on this amazing community. I decided to join council to do my best to help show the rest of the world what a lovely area we live in and do my best to assist with decisions that are made in our small town.

Councillor Mike Gray

Having visited the Columbia Valley since childhood, I made a permanent relocation here both to follow a business opportunity and to be closer to my nieces and nephews. My partner and I moved here together and spend a healthy amount of time exploring the wonderful outdoors in Radium's back yard.

My favourite times in Radium have been around community events and social gatherings.  I try to stay active in our community as a business owner, Chamber of Commerce board member, volunteer, and now as a member of council.  I am constantly inspired by how much people love this village, and enjoy meeting residents and visitors with ideas about how to make our community even better.
